Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on your legs, not your budget. If your hips sink, choose a Float (Athlex Float V2 or Apex Float V2). If you're in the middle, choose Flow. If you already swim flat, Flex gives the most shoulder freedom. Athlex is the value range; Apex uses higher-grade Yamamoto neoprene.
Both come in Float, Flow and Flex. Athlex is Orca's entry and mid-level triathlon range, at $413–$633 with us. Apex is the premium range in higher-grade Yamamoto neoprene, at $773–$1,110. Pick the model for your stroke first, then the range for how often you race.
Yes. We ship Orca wetsuits Australia-wide from our Helensvale warehouse on the Gold Coast, and orders over $150 ship free (T&Cs apply). Use the in-stock filter on this page to see which sizes are ready to go now.
About Orca
Orca began in New Zealand as a triathlon wetsuit maker and is still built around the swim: wetsuits, swimskins, goggles and the kit you need to race or train in open water. Each wetsuit range is split by how much buoyancy you need, so you buy for your stroke rather than a price point.About Orca

What we stock from Orca
• Triathlon wetsuits — Athlex ($413–$633) and the premium Apex ($773–$1,110), each in Float (most lift), Flow (balanced) and Flex (most freedom). See triathlon wetsuits.
• Open water wetsuits — the Vitalis range: 3 mm TRN, Hi-Vis, Light Sleeveless, Shorty and the warm Vitalis Thermal, plus Squad junior suits. See ocean swimming wetsuits.
• Swimskins and surf suits — Apex Swimskin men's and women's for warm-water races where wetsuits aren't allowed, plus Tango surf wetsuits. Every Orca wetsuit is on our wetsuits page.
• Goggles — seven Killa models, from the Junior ($21) to the Killa Mask and Performance. See swimming goggles.
• Warmth and safety — thermal and hi-vis neoprene caps and hoods, Hydro Booties, swim socks, gloves, Heatseeker vests, base layers and safety buoys. See swim accessories.
• Race day — race belts, transition bags, backpacks and the Thermal Fleece Parka. See triathlon gear.
Not sure where to start? Most triathletes should try a Flow suit first and move to Float if their legs drag. Ocean swimmers who train year-round get the most use from a Vitalis TRN or Hi-Vis, adding a thermal cap and booties when the water cools in winter.
