Description

The Orca Killa Comfort Swimming Goggles are open water swim goggles with a wide lens and a soft silicone gasket. They are built for long swims in the sea: a seal that holds without pressure, a broad view for sighting, and an anti-fog coating. Pick from mirror, smoke and clear lenses.

Fit and seal

The gasket is moulded in three dimensions from soft silicone, so it follows the shape of your eye socket and seals with light, even contact. You get a watertight fit without cranking the strap down, and without deep rings around your eyes after an hour in the water.

The silicone strap splits in two at the back of your head, which spreads the hold and keeps the goggles steady through chop and a crowded race start. A clip buckle at each temple lets you tighten or loosen the strap quickly, even with cold fingers.

To check the fit, press the goggles onto your eyes without the strap. If they hold for a moment by suction alone, the seal is right for your face.

Lens and vision

The wide lens gives you a broad field of vision, so you can find the next buoy, the swimmer beside you and the headland you are aiming for without lifting your head far out of the water. Match the lens to your light:

  • Mirror Black: for bright sun and glare off the water, the pick for a midday swim off Noosa or an east-facing race start.
  • Smoke Black: a darker tint for mixed conditions.
  • Clear White: for dawn and dusk swims, overcast days and indoor pools.

Fogging

The inside of each lens carries Orca's long-lasting anti-fog coating, so your view stays clear from the beach to the last buoy. Look after the coating and it looks after you: keep your fingers off the inside of the lens and never wipe it with a towel.

Looking after it

Rinse the goggles in fresh water after every swim, salt or chlorine, and let them dry in the shade before you put them away. Store them where the lenses will not be scratched by keys or sand in the bottom of your swim bag.

FAQ's

Are the Orca Killa Comfort goggles good for open water swimming?
Yes. The Orca Killa Comfort Swimming Goggles are made for open water. The wide field of vision helps you sight and find your way in the sea, and the soft gasket stays comfortable over a long swim.

Which Orca Killa Comfort lens colour should I choose?
Choose the Orca Killa Comfort lens by light. Mirror Black suits bright sun and glare, Smoke Black suits mixed conditions, and Clear White suits dawn, overcast days and indoor pools.

Do the Orca Killa Comfort goggles fog up?
The Orca Killa Comfort Swimming Goggles have a long-lasting anti-fog coating on the lenses to keep your vision clear. Avoid touching or wiping the inside of the lens, because rubbing wears the coating away.

How do you adjust the strap on the Orca Killa Comfort goggles?
The Orca Killa Comfort Swimming Goggles use a clip-on buckle on the silicone strap. You can tighten or loosen the strap quickly at the side of your head, without taking the goggles apart.

Do the Orca Killa Comfort goggles leave marks around the eyes?
The Orca Killa Comfort Swimming Goggles have a soft, three-dimensional silicone gasket that reduces pressure around the eye. Because the gasket seals without a tight strap, you can wear the strap looser, which means lighter marks after a swim.

What is the difference between the Orca Killa Comfort and the Killa 180º?
The Orca Killa Comfort Swimming Goggles are the open water goggle in the range, with a wide lens for sighting. The Orca Killa 180º is the all-rounder for training and racing. Both have a 3D gasket, quick-adjust strap and anti-fog coating.
