Most riders carry a 0.6 L or 0.7 L bottle; the CamelBak Podium comes in both. On a small frame, measure the space inside the triangle first, as a tall bottle may not clear the top tube. The Podium Insulated Steel comes in 0.53 L (22.4 cm tall) and 0.65 L (27.2 cm tall).
A cage that opens to one side, so you pull the bottle out sideways instead of straight up. It suits small frames and full-suspension bikes, where the shock or top tube is in the way. The Topeak Ninja Master+ Cage SK comes in left and right hand versions; the Lezyne Matrix Team Cage loads from either side.
Longer than a plain bottle, yes. CamelBak says the double-wall Podium Chill keeps water cold about twice as long as a standard bottle, and rates the vacuum-insulated Podium Insulated Steel for 14 hours (0.53 L) or 18 hours (0.65 L). The steel bottle is heavier and you cannot squeeze it.

• Squeeze or insulated: the CamelBak Podium is a soft squeeze bottle with a self-sealing cap and a lock-out valve, in 0.6 L and 0.7 L. The Podium Chill has a double wall that keeps water cold about twice as long, and the 0.62 L weighs 99 g.
• Stainless steel: the Podium Insulated Steel is double-wall vacuum insulated and rated cold for 14 hours (0.53 L) or 18 hours (0.65 L). It is heavier, at 300 g or 354 g.
• Side or top entry: on a small frame or a full-suspension bike, the bottle often cannot come straight up. Side-access cages fix that: the Topeak Ninja Master+ Cage SK (48 g, left or right hand), the reversible Dualside Cage Pro, and the Lezyne Matrix Team Cage, which you can pull from either side.
