Description

The Orca Killa 180º Swimming Goggles are the pair you can train in on Tuesday and race in on Sunday. They come from a triathlon brand, with a soft 3D gasket, a silicone strap you can adjust in seconds and an anti-fog coating on the lens. Pick from mirror, smoke and clear lenses to suit where and when you swim.

Fit and seal

The gasket is moulded in three dimensions to follow the shape of your eye socket, so it seals with light, even contact. You get a watertight fit without cranking the strap down, and without deep rings around your eyes after a long set.

The silicone strap splits in two at the back of your head, which spreads the hold and keeps the goggles steady when you push off the wall or sight over chop. A clip buckle at each temple lets you tighten or loosen the strap quickly, even with cold fingers on the start line.

To check the fit, press the goggles onto your eyes without the strap. If they hold for a moment by suction alone, the seal is right for your face.

Lens and vision

Match the lens to your light:

  • Mirror (black, green or orange frame): for bright sun and glare off the water, the pick for a midday ocean swim or an east-facing race start.
  • Blue lens, white frame: a tinted lens for sunny outdoor swimming.
  • Smoke, black frame: a darker tint for mixed conditions, outdoors or under bright pool lights.
  • Clear, black frame: for dawn and dusk swims, overcast days and indoor pools.

Plenty of our swimmers keep two pairs in the bag, a mirror and a clear, and choose on the morning.

Fogging

The inside of each lens carries Orca's long-lasting anti-fog coating, so your view stays clear from the first lap to the last buoy. Look after the coating and it looks after you: keep your fingers off the inside of the lens and never wipe it with a towel.

Looking after it

Rinse the goggles in fresh water after every swim, salt or chlorine, and let them dry in the shade before you put them away. Store them where the lenses will not be scratched by keys or sand in the bottom of your swim bag.

FAQ's

Are the Orca Killa 180º goggles good for open water swimming?
Yes. The Orca Killa 180º Swimming Goggles are made for both training and racing, in the pool and in open water. The mirror lenses suit bright days on the ocean, and the split silicone strap keeps them steady in chop.

Which Orca Killa 180º lens colour should I choose?
Choose the Orca Killa 180º lens by light. Mirror lenses suit bright sun and glare, smoke suits mixed conditions, and clear suits dawn, overcast days and indoor pools. Many swimmers own a mirror pair and a clear pair.

Do the Orca Killa 180º goggles fog up?
The Orca Killa 180º Swimming Goggles have a long-lasting anti-fog coating on the lenses to keep your vision clear. Avoid touching or wiping the inside of the lens, because rubbing wears the coating away.

How do you adjust the strap on the Orca Killa 180º goggles?
The Orca Killa 180º Swimming Goggles use a clip buckle on the silicone strap. You can tighten or loosen the strap quickly at the side of your head, without taking the goggles apart.

Are the Orca Killa 180º goggles comfortable for long swims?
Yes. The Orca Killa 180º Swimming Goggles have a soft 3D gasket shaped to the face, which reduces pressure around the eyes. That lets the goggles seal without a tight strap, so they stay comfortable over long sets.

Can I use the Orca Killa 180º goggles in a triathlon?
Yes. The Orca Killa 180º Swimming Goggles come from Orca, a triathlon brand, and are built for racing as well as training. The quick-adjust strap and secure seal suit a crowded swim start.
