Openwater RS1 Bottom Womens Wetsuit - Size Large Only
Description
Description
The RS1 Bottom is a pair of high-waisted women's open water wetsuit pants in Yamamoto neoprene, the lower half of Orca's zip-free, two-piece RS1 swimming suit.
Who it's for
Open water swimmers building a two-piece suit with the Orca Openwater RS1 Top. The bottom pulls on like a pair of high-waisted pants, then the top fastens over it with a Velcro seal at the hips. There is no zip anywhere in the suit, and because the halves are sold separately you can fit the bottom to your waist and the top to your chest.
Buoyancy and flexibility
- Legs: Yamamoto 39 neoprene, 2 mm thick on Orca's panel diagram.
- Lower legs: Hydrolite, as marked on Orca's technology diagram.
- Waist: the Velcro seal locks the two halves together and stops water flushing in at the hip.
- Outer surface: SCS coating on both pieces to help the suit slip through the water.
Getting the size right
Orca's size chart for the RS1 Bottom gives waist, height and weight:
- XS: waist 60.5–65.5 cm, 144–160 cm, 46–53 kg
- S: waist 65.5–71.5 cm, 157–167 cm, 54–61 kg
- M: waist 71.5–76.5 cm, 165–177 cm, 60–67 kg
- L: waist 76.5–81.5 cm, 170–185 cm, 66–74 kg

Looking after neoprene
Rinse the bottom in plenty of fresh water after every swim, with a little pH-neutral soap if you like, then rinse again. Dry it outside or somewhere airy, out of direct sun, and store it hanging from the middle so the neoprene does not crease.
