Orca Apex Float V2 Women's Triathlon Wetsuit

The Orca Apex Float V2 Women's is the most buoyant suit in Orca's triathlon range, built from Yamamoto neoprene with 5 mm panels in the legs and 3 mm through the torso to lift the legs and flatten out your position in the water. It is the suit for long-distance racing, and for swimmers whose legs sink.

Who it's for

You know the moment: partway through the swim your legs start to sink, and every stroke starts costing more. The Apex Float V2 exists to stop that. Extra buoyancy under the hips and legs lifts your lower half into position and holds it there, so you swim flat and come out of the water with something left.

Orca aim the Float range at newer swimmers and anyone who wants extra support holding a stable position. If your technique is already sound and you want flexibility first, the Apex Flex is the other end of the range.

Buoyancy and flexibility

Float is the clue in the name. This is the high-buoyancy build, weighted toward lifting the half of you that wants to drop.

The shoulders stay soft so the suit never argues with your catch: Yamamoto 40+ in the shoulders, Orca's Dynamic Shoulder Fit and no printed graphics to stiffen them.

Key features

5 mm Yamamoto neoprene through the legs - the thickest panels sit exactly where the lift is needed rather than spread evenly across the suit - and 3 mm through the torso. High Elbow Panel technology in the arms, an SCS surface coating on the outer face and an Infinity Skin 2 lining against your skin. YKK back zip with a long pull cord.

Fabric gloves are included, and they are not a gimmick: you wear them to pull the suit on so fingernails cannot tear the neoprene. A mesh backpack to carry the suit comes in the box too.

Getting the size right

The Apex Float V2 Women's is cut on Orca's V Fit women's pattern. Orca size on chest, height and weight together, not on the shirt size you usually buy. We stock XXS, S, M, L and XL, plus the XST and ST sizes.

Looking after neoprene

Salt and pool chlorine both damage neoprene, so rinse the suit in plenty of fresh water after every swim. A little neutral pH soap is fine, rinsed out afterwards. Dry it outside or somewhere airy indoors, out of direct sun, and store it hung draped from the waist so the shoulders carry no tension.
