Description
The USWE Shred 16L is a compact freeride daypack: 16 litres of storage on a harness designed to lock onto your torso, with a helmet carry system, armour carry points and a soft-lined goggle pocket for trail and enduro days. Choose Camo/Black or Carbon Black.
Who it's for
Trail and enduro riders who want water, tools, a spare layer and their protective gear on their back without the pack shifting under them. USWE built the Shred around its No Dancing Monkey 2.0 harness and a waist support belt, so the load stays put when the trail tips downhill and gets rough. We stock the 16L for riders who want the Shred's harness in the slimmer of its two sizes.
Capacity and fit
The 16 litres go into a large zippered main organiser compartment with a wide opening. Up top, a zippered pocket lined with soft fabric keeps your goggles from scratching, and two pockets on the hip belt sit within reach while you ride. The quick stash pocket on the outside takes your helmet, knee or elbow pads, or a layer, so you can grab them without opening a zip. Outside compression straps pull the load in for a slim profile, and a rain cover and a microfibre cleaning cloth come in the box.
Fit is set on the back panel. The harness attaches to the backplate with hook-and-loop, and lifting it reveals numbered positions from 1 to 10: move it until the buckle sits under your chest. The Snug-Me system then tightens shoulder and waist straps together in one pull. The Shred 16L suits torso lengths of 43–55 cm, measures 50 x 25 x 18 cm and weighs 1210 g.
Drinking and refilling
A hydration bladder of up to 3 litres slides inside (bladder sold separately), and the drink tube is secured along the shoulder strap where you can find it mid-descent. The shoulder straps also carry quick-click points for USWE's clip-on front pockets, sold separately, which put your phone, gels or bars on your chest instead of in the pack. LED-light attachment points and reflective details help other trail users see you as the light goes.
