Protection Box

Mammut Protection Box is a hard case built for the Mammut Barryvox S2 and Barryvox 2 avalanche transceivers. A transceiver spends most of the year off your chest: in a cupboard over summer, in a bag on the flight to Niseko or Queenstown, or being passed around and dropped in the snow during a beacon search drill. This protection box keeps it out of harm's way through all of that, in a case small enough to pack anywhere.

What it is

A compact black protection box with a hinged lid, a clip latch and a foam-lined interior shaped to hold one Barryvox S2 or Barryvox 2. It protects the transceiver from knocks and other outside influences while it is stored, travelling or in use for practice.

Who it's for

Backcountry skiers, splitboarders and ski tourers who carry a Barryvox S2 or Barryvox 2, avalanche course instructors who keep a set of training transceivers, and anyone flying to the snow with a transceiver in their luggage. It is a storage and transport case; on the hill, the transceiver goes back in its harness.

Looking after it

Dry the transceiver and the box before closing the lid after a day in the snow, then store the box somewhere cool and dry until the next season.
