Description

The Cardo Packtalk Edge KTM is Cardo's mesh intercom with the magnetic Air Mount, sold here as a single unit. KTM-branded edition. Same unit and the same features as the standard Packtalk Edge. One headset, with its mount, speakers and microphone.

The Air Mount

The Edge snaps onto its helmet plate magnetically. There is no sliding it into a cradle in gloves, and no fiddling at the side of the road - you put it near the plate and it takes itself. Small thing, done every single ride.

Mesh, not pairing

2nd generation Dynamic Mesh Communication for up to 31 riders. The group forms itself, and a rider who drops out of range is picked back up automatically rather than needing to re-pair.

Sound and charging

JBL speakers with three tuned sound profiles. Twenty minutes on the charger gives two hours of talk time, which covers the case where you have forgotten to charge it and are leaving in half an hour.

Built to be left on the helmet

IP67 waterproof and a three-year warranty. Bluetooth 5.2 for the phone side, and over-the-air updates so the unit improves without a cable.

FAQ's

Is this one headset or two?
One headset. If you need to talk to a regular riding partner, the Duo pack is two of these and works out cheaper than buying twice.

What is the Air Mount?
A magnetic helmet plate. The unit snaps to it rather than sliding into a cradle, so it goes on and comes off in gloves without looking.

How fast does it charge?
Twenty minutes gives about two hours of talk time, which is the charge you do while you get dressed.

How many riders can I connect?
Up to 31 in one mesh group. Rider to rider is 1.6 km, and a full group spans about 8 km because each unit relays for the next.

Will it pair with a different brand of intercom?
Yes over Bluetooth, which is the common language between brands. Cardo's mesh features only work Cardo to Cardo, so a mixed group falls back to a standard Bluetooth connection.

Can I leave it on the helmet in the rain?
Yes - rated IP67, so rain and washdowns are fine. Bring the helmet indoors to charge and the unit will outlast the bike.
