Description
Description
The Orca Unisex Visor is a lightweight running and triathlon visor that keeps sweat from reaching your eyes and protects you from the sun, with the top of your head left open. It is made from quick-drying, breathable recycled polyester, adjusts with Velcro, and comes in S/M (53-58 cm) and L/XL (55-60 cm) in black or white.
What it is
A peak and a band, nothing more. The open top leaves your head uncovered, which many runners prefer on a humid Queensland morning run, while the visor protects you from the sun and keeps sweat from reaching your eyes.
Who it's for
Runners and triathletes who find a full cap too hot. Pull it on in T2 for the run leg of a summer triathlon, wear it for parkrun along the Gold Coast Oceanway, or keep it in the bag for long hinterland trail runs where the sun is relentless and the climbs are steep. If you want sun on the top of your head covered as well, a cap is the better pick; if you run hot, the visor wins.
Key details
- Fabric: recycled polyester, quick-drying and breathable.
- Fit: adjustable Velcro.
- Sizes: S/M for a 53-58 cm head, L/XL for 55-60 cm.
- Colours: black or white, with the Orca logo on the front.
Finding your size
Run a tape measure around your head just above the ears and across the forehead. Between 55 and 58 cm both sizes fit, so pick S/M if you like it snug and L/XL if you wear it over a buff or a full head of hair.
Looking after it
Rinse the sweat and sunscreen out under cold water after a run and let it air dry; it dries quickly. Keep the Velcro fastened when you wash it so it does not snag other gear.
