Description

Improving on our original, best-selling Tensor line, Tensor™ Trail offers versatile warmth for three-season adventures where weight is the top priority. Designed to take you from spring to fall, it keeps nights restful and packs up light.

The pad’s interior features NEMO’s proprietary Spaceframe™ baffle design, which utilizes low-stretch fabric trusses to create stable support and offer just the right amount of give — all while avoiding any wobbly waterbed feeling. Inside each baffle is a suspended layer of ultra-thin, metallized Thermal Mirror™ film, which efficiently reflects body heat and contributes to the pad’s overall 2.8 R-value. The layer’s clever floating construction eliminates the crinkling, crunchy sound that many insulated air pads are known for, earning Tensor a reputation for peace and quiet under the stars.

Armed with premium, durable 20D (top) and 40D (bottom) nylon, Tensor Trail is better protected against punctures and tears, and — like all NEMO sleeping pads — it includes a Vortex™ pump sack. Vortex effortlessly mates with the pad’s zero-profile, microadjustable Laylow™ valve for easy inflation in just minutes.

FAQ's

Is Nemo Tensor quiet?
Yes, it is very quiet and easy to set up, you wouldn’t even need to disturb your tent buddy if they were asleep when setting up your Nemo Tensor. To inflate, remove the cap of the valve by pulling the “INFLATE” tab. You can blow into the valve or use an inflator/ air pump, which does make things a lot easier (and quicker!). Getting the right amount of air in your sleeping pad is also easy with the Nemo Tensor as all you should do is press the inner valve to release air. Once you are happy with the amount of air in your sleeping pad simply reinstall the cap and you’re ready to sleep. The deflating process is just as quiet and simple as the inflating process.

What is the difference between Tensor and Tensor All-Season?
Overall, the two Nemo sleeping pads are quite similar. However, there are a few updates on the Tensor All Season sleeping pad, which is one of the most recently released sleeping pads from Nemo and it’s important to know how the two products differ, so you can make an informed decision on which is best for you. The Nemo Tensor All-Season has an improved R-value, which sits at 5.4, compared to 2.8 for the original Nemo Tensor. The packed weight for all sizes is different, for example, the regular-sized sleeping pad is 552g for the Tensor All-Season, compared to 477g for the original Tensor.

How much does the Nemo Tensor weigh?
The packed weight of the Nemo Tensor differs depending on the size you opt for. In total, there are four sizes to choose from; regular, regular wide, regular mummy and long wide. The packed weight of each size is as follows: Regular - 477g Regular Wide - 567g Regular Mummy - 451g Long Wide - 604g

How much time does it take to inflate a Nemo Tensor sleeping mat?
The Vortex Pump Sack that is included with the purchase of your Nemo Tensor ensures a quick and easy inflation process. After you have removed the cap, it only takes a minute or two for the sleeping mat to fully inflate. If using the Vortex Pump Sack, keep an eye on your sleeping mat as you don’t want to overinflate and potentially damage your mat. If you wish, you can also opt for blowing up the sleeping mat yourself. Due to the size of the mat (no matter which of the four sizes you own) it is fairly easy to blow up yourself but it usually takes slightly longer than if you were using the Vortex Pump Sack provided or your own air pump, probably around five minutes.
