Gear Aid Tenacious Tape Repair Tape is a 7.6 x 50 cm peel-and-stick strip for patching tears in outdoor clothing, sleeping bags, backpacks and rain gear. It sticks to nylon, polyester, PVC and rubber without sewing or heat, reaches full strength after 24 hours and can then be washed.

What it fixes

Holes and tears in the gear you are wearing or carrying when it happens: outdoor clothing, rain gear, sleeping bags and backpacks. The adhesive bonds to nylon, polyester, PVC and rubber, the fabrics most outdoor gear is made of.

One 7.6 x 50 cm strip cuts into many individual patches, so a single pack covers a lot of repairs.

Which colour

We sell eight: Clear, which is transparent PVC, and nylon fabric tape in Black, OD Green, Coyote, Green, Grey, Blue and Orange. Matching the patch to the fabric keeps a repair low-key.

How to use it

Clean and dry the area, cut the tape to size, peel off the backing and press it down firmly. For a larger hole, put a second piece on the inside as well. It works best applied between 10 and 40 degrees.

Give it 24 hours to reach full adhesive strength, after which the repaired gear can be washed. If you later want the tear sewn properly, the patch can be removed with heat.
