Silicone Swim Cap

The Orca Silicone Swim Cap is a 100% silicone swim cap built to see you through squad training and race day alike. It is seamless, it fits snugly, and it is made to last, so it is the cap that lives in your swim bag rather than the one you replace every few months. We stock it in classic black and in high-visibility orange.

Who it's for

Pool swimmers knocking out early-morning squad sessions, ocean swimmers doing laps between the flags at Burleigh or Mooloolaba, and triathletes training for their next race. The high-vis orange is the one we would pick for open water: a bright cap is what a paddler, a lifeguard or your swim buddy picks out first in a choppy sea.

Fit and layering

A snug, seamless dome hugs your head without ridges to catch water or press on your scalp. Long hair goes up in a low bun first, then stretch the cap on from the forehead back and tuck in any loose strands. Goggle straps sit over the cap, where the silicone helps hold them still. On a triathlon race day, when the organisers hand out a numbered cap, a lot of swimmers wear their own silicone cap underneath it.

Fabric and construction

The Orca Silicone Swim Cap is moulded from 100% silicone, so there is no latex in it, and it has no seams to split. Silicone stretches over your head and springs back into shape, swim after swim.

Care

Rinse the cap in fresh water after every swim, shake it off and let it dry in the shade before packing it away. Keep it out of a hot car and away from sharp fingernails and rings when you pull it on.
