Race Top Tube Bag

The Restrap Race Top Tube Bag is a light, waterproof top tube bag built for long days and nights in the saddle: ultra-distance racing and audax. A rigid internal structure keeps it upright, and the stretch mesh side pocket keeps food where your hand can find it.

Who it's for

Riders racing ultra-distance events and riding audaxes, who eat on the move and ride through the night. Reflective detailing helps you be seen in the dark, and the side pocket takes bars, gels and the empty wrappers afterwards.

Fitting it to your bike

A universal headset fitting wraps the steerer and suits every headset, including bikes with a low stack height. At the frame, an adjustable MOLLE Hypalon fitting and strap hold the bag firmly; on the Standard and Long, Restrap says this lets it work with all Restrap Frame Bags. On the Short size the rear strap comes off so the bag can bolt straight to top tube bosses instead. Choose the length that fits your top tube:

• Short (1.2 L): 240 mm along the base, 120 mm tall at the front.
• Standard (1.5 L): 370 mm along the base, 110 mm tall at the front.
• Long (2 L): 490 mm along the base, 110 mm tall at the front.

All three are 45 mm wide.

Capacity and what fits

The main compartment keeps food, a phone and small essentials within reach of the bars, and the mesh side pocket holds what you want without opening the zip. Pick 1.2, 1.5 or 2 L by the length of your top tube and how much you like to carry between stops. On the Standard and Long the YKK AquaGuard zip is two-way.

Weatherproofing

A technical waterproof outer and a YKK AquaGuard water-resistant zip keep rain and road spray out of the main compartment.

Stability when loaded

A rigid internal plastic structure holds the bag upright and steady on the top tube, and the Short adds a foam base inside to stop the contents rattling.
