In the event of extreme heat, you may want to prevent the body from heating up too much. In this case, place the gold-colored side against your body to let heat escape and the silver-colored side facing out to reflect the sun’s infrared rays. Warning: do not use this survival blanket during a thunder storm or near incandescent materials.
