The Orca Vitalis Hi-Vis Women's is Orca's women's open water wetsuit with a high-visibility orange outer, built so boats, surfers and other swimmers can locate you. It pairs 2.5 mm Yamamoto 38 neoprene through the torso and legs for neutral buoyancy with highly elastic 2 mm panels at the shoulders that keep your stroke free.
Who it's for
Open water swimming and training, where being seen matters. The Vitalis Hi-Vis is built around being visible: bright orange Hi-Vis panels that stand out against the water, so boats, surfers and other swimmers pick you up early. Everything else is a proper training suit.
Buoyancy and flexibility
Yamamoto 38 at 2.5 mm through the torso and legs gives moderate, neutral buoyancy. The shoulders and legs carry 2 mm Yamamoto 38FS, highly elastic panels that take 30% less force in fast, short strokes and 40% less in slower, wider ones than conventional neoprene, so your stroke stays free over distance.
The USC collar has laser-cut edges and reverse Velcro to cut friction at the neck, and the back zip is a YKK 10. The cut is Orca's V Fit, shaped for women rather than adapted from a men's suit.
Getting the size right
This is the decision that makes or breaks a wetsuit, so take your time over it. Orca size the Vitalis on chest, height and weight together - and the range runs from XS to XL.
Snug is the target: for a correct fit, wrists, ankles and neck should fit closely and the suit should not be loose.
