The Moonlite is Nemo's packable reclining camp chair - quick to set up, small enough to disappear into a pack, and it reclines by leaning back rather than by adjusting anything.
Who it's for
The chair that comes everywhere. Light enough to carry into the backcountry, comfortable enough that it mostly lives in the backyard and the boot - and it reclines, which almost nothing this packable does.
Comfort and how it sits
A pulley built into the armrest straps does the reclining. Pull the buckles and settle back, and you move from sitting up over dinner to lying back for the stars; pull again while upright to come back. No levers, no getting out of the chair, no fixed positions to pick between.
The seat is an engineered mesh that stretches to suit different builds, hung on ball-and-socket connectors that rotate to line up with your body. That is what stops the pressure points that make a cheap chair unbearable after twenty minutes.
Packed size and weight
Packs to 35 x 10 x 35 cm - genuinely small enough to justify carrying, which is the bar a backcountry chair has to clear. Set up it is 52 x 51 x 65 cm.
Stability on soft ground
Oversized frame tubes with forged aluminium hubs. Reclining puts load through a chair in ways an upright one never sees, so the engineering matters more here than on a fixed seat.
Capacity and build
Holds 136 kg (300 lb), in polyester. The webbing and mesh are 100% post-consumer recycled and the reclining hardware and seat mesh are bluesign approved - worth knowing on a camp chair, where sustainability claims are usually absent altogether.
