Description

The Komperdell Ice Flex Winter Basket is a snow basket for Komperdell poles with the ice-flex tip system. It gives the pole more flotation in powder, and because the basket is moveable on the ice-flex tip it adapts up to 28 degrees to the slope inclination.

What it does

A small trekking basket can sink into soft snow. A winter basket spreads the load over a wider area, and Komperdell describe this one as giving more flotation on powder snow. The ice-flex design adds a moveable basket system: combined with the ice-flex tip, the basket adapts up to 28 degrees to the slope inclination, so it can follow the angle of a sidehill or a steep skin track.

Which poles it fits

This basket is made for Komperdell's ice-flex system and fits poles fitted with the ice-flex tip. It is the basket to swap on when your ski touring or alpine trekking poles go from summer tracks to snow, whether that is a spring tour off Mount Perisher, a winter crossing of the Bogong High Plains or a snowshoe walk on the Main Range.
