Description
Description
The Exposure Race 19 is a 195 g self-contained handlebar light that puts out up to 2650 lumens through a focused 14° spot beam, with seven programs running from 2 to 36 hours. Its 8,000 mAh battery charges over USB-C in about 2 hours, doubles as a power bank, and sits in an IP67, IK09-rated aluminium body on a tool-free quick-release bracket.
What it fits
The included quick-release handlebar bracket fits 31.8 mm bars with its rubber shim fitted, and 35 mm bars with the shim removed. A 25.4 mm shim is available separately for older bars. Mount it as close to the stem as you can, where the clamp grips best. Exposure also make a Stem Fit Bracket Mk2, an Action Camera Stem Cap Mount and a GoPro-to-Exposure cleat adapter if you want the light off the bars.
How it attaches
The light carries a cleat that slides into the V of the bracket until the steel pin snaps home. To take it off, pull the red spring button under the bracket down and slide the light back out. No tools needed. Set the horizontal angle once with a hex key through the bracket (5 Nm maximum), and check the light is secure before every ride.
Brightness and runtime
Two white XPL2 (W3) LEDs drive up to 2650 lumens into a 14° spot beam that throws light well down the trail. The Optimised Mode Selector gives you seven programs from 2 to 36 hours, with the table etched on the body so you can pick one at the roadside. The colour OSD+ screen shows the program, your current mode and the runtime left in hours and minutes.
- Reflex 2.0 (high mode of programs 1–3): gyros, accelerometers and thermistors boost the output on fast, rough descents and dim it on slow climbs to stretch the battery. Keep Reflex for off-road; on the road it can dazzle other road users.
- Reserve: when the runtime hits zero the light drops to around 10% for at least 30 minutes to get you home.
- Flash mode: over 24 hours from a full charge; program 7 adds an SOS flash.
- Intelligent Thermal Management eases the LED power if they run hot and restores it once they cool.
Charging and power bank
The 8,000 mAh Li-ion battery charges through USB-C in 2 h 1 min, and the light can be charged from a portable power bank. Flip it into Power Bank Mode and the same port charges your phone or GPS on a long day out. Bi-colour LEDs and the screen colour work as a fuel gauge, from green through amber to red as the battery drops.
Weight and material
The body is CNC-machined 6063 aluminium in Exposure's gunmetal grey hard anodising, 107 mm long with a 46 mm head, and weighs 195 g. It is rated IP67 against water and dust and IK09 for impact.
Looking after it
Wipe the light down with a soft cloth and lukewarm, pH-neutral soapy water (30 °C maximum), and keep chemicals, abrasives and pressure washers away from it. Rinse it in fresh water after any saltwater contact. Charge it clean and dry, never with the lens facing down, and never leave it lens-down. For long storage keep it fully charged in a dry place, ideally 20–25 °C, and top it up every 6–8 weeks.
