Estelle GORE-TEX® Infinium Windstopper Ladies Glove

XTM Performance Estelle is a women's windproof glove built on a laminated GORE-TEX Infinium Windstopper outer, with a goat skin leather reinforced palm, silicone grip on the fingers and a plush faux fur lining. It has a slim women's cut, a zipped cuff and touch screen fingers, in sizes XS to L and in black.

Who it's for

Women who want one warm, windproof glove for a whole season of cold-weather days out. Pull it on for a spring ski tour off the top of Thredbo, a cross-country loop at Lake Mountain, a frosty morning ride in the Victorian high country or a winter walk in the Blue Mountains when the wind is doing its worst.

XTM made the Estelle as their first Infinium glove designed specifically for women, working alongside Australian Olympic snowboarders Belle Brockhoff and Sami Kennedy Sim. It is the glove we point women to when a man's glove has always felt baggy in the fingers.

Wind and weather

The Infinium Windstopper outer stops wind chill in its tracks, which is what really freezes your fingers on a chairlift or an exposed ridge. A PFC-free DWR coating beads off a flurry of dry snow or a light passing shower. For a full day in wet spring slush, our GORE-TEX insert snow gloves such as the XTM Lotte are the ones to reach for.

Fit and layering

The Estelle is cut slim, so it follows a woman's hand without spare fabric bunching at the fingertips. Forchettes, the narrow panels between the fingers, shape the fit further and give you better feel on a zip, a pole strap or a bike lever. A short zip with a gusset opens the cuff so the glove slides on and off easily, even with cold hands.

Fabric and construction

The outer is laminated GORE-TEX Infinium Windstopper. The palm is reinforced with goat skin leather where a glove wears first, and silicone grip on the fingers holds onto poles, handlebars and trekking poles. Inside, a plush faux fur lining keeps your hands warm and comfortable. The DWR coating is PFC-free, and the Estelle is a certified carbon neutral product.

Looking after it

After a day out, let the gloves dry at room temperature, cuff open, away from a heater or fire, which stiffens leather. Brush off dirt once they are dry, and store them clean and dry between trips.
