Description
The Deuter Triangle Front Bag 1.5 tucks into the corner where your top tube meets the head tube, a space most bikes waste. It is slim enough to stay clear of your knees and big enough for the kit you want on every ride.
Who it's for
Touring riders and bikepackers first: Deuter rate it five out of five for both, and four for road and gravel. Think a week on the Great Victorian Rail Trail, an overnighter on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail or long gravel days in the Adelaide Hills, with tools and first aid in reach rather than buried in a bag.
Fitting it to your bike
Three short hook-and-loop straps wrap the top tube and down tube at the front of the frame triangle. No tools, no bolts, and it moves between bikes in a minute. Fit it snug to the frame so it does not sway, and check it clears your knees as you pedal.
Capacity and what fits
At 13 x 5 x 32 cm, it takes a multi-tool, tyre levers, a patch kit, a small first aid kit, a phone and some snacks. Gear loops on the outside give you somewhere to clip a light or a small extra.
Weatherproofing
The 150D polyamide ripstop is PU coated to repel water, and the zip closes the bag fully. A reflective 3M print and reflectors help you be seen on a road section at dusk. On a full day of rain, bag your phone separately inside.
Looking after it
Grit trapped under the straps can wear the paint, so put a strip of protective film on the frame where the bag sits. The finish is made without intentionally added PFAS, and Deuter cover it with a 2-year warranty.
