Description
XTM Performance Heatflex is a unisex thermal pant: a slim-fitting base layer knitted from 180 g/m² polypro and treated with Polygiene StayFresh odour control. It is warm, soft on skin, wicks moisture and dries fast, at an average weight of 145 g. Sizes XS to 3XL, in black or charcoal marle.
Who it's for
Anyone who feels the cold and wants a warm first layer that earns its place on every cold trip. Pull Heatflex on under your snow pants for a week at Thredbo or Mt Hotham, under hiking pants on a frosty morning on the Overland Track, or on its own in the tent once the sun drops at a high-country campsite.
It is just as handy off the mountain: early-morning fishing on a winter estuary, a cold footy grandstand, or a long night on a dark sideline. XTM make Heatflex for men and women alike.
Fit and layering
Heatflex is a slim fit, shaped to sit close to the body, which is how a base layer traps warmth and moves sweat off your skin. The inleg is 77 cm on a size M, and XTM's 182 cm male model wears a medium. It slides under snow pants, rain pants or trekking pants without bunching at the knee.
- Unisex sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL
- Slim, close-fitting cut
- 77 cm inleg on size M
- Black or charcoal marle
Fabric and construction
The fabric is 180 g/m² polypro, the classic synthetic thermal knit that holds warmth, pulls moisture away from your skin and dries quickly on a hut clothesline. XTM treat it with Polygiene StayFresh, a silver salt finish that stops odour-causing bacteria building up, so you can wear Heatflex for days on a trip and wash it less at home. Heatflex is a certified carbon neutral product.
Care
Machine wash warm on a normal cycle with similar colours. Skip the fabric softener and bleach, then line dry or tumble dry on cool. Keep Heatflex away from direct heat while you wear it and while it dries, so no drying it on the heater or standing over the campfire, and never iron it.
