The Mammut Trion Nordwand 28 Women is a 28 L roll-top alpine pack in tough Cordura, with a back, shoulder straps and hip belt shaped for women. Mammut athlete Caro North was closely involved in developing it.
Who it's for
Women heading into the mountains to climb, mountaineer or ski tour who want one pack that carries comfortably and takes the tools. Mammut describes it as extremely light and equally robust.
Capacity, and what actually fits
The 28 L body closes with a roll-top, and a water-repellent zip pocket on the outside keeps small things within reach. Skis go on the reinforced side attachment, two ice axes on their attachments, trekking poles in their own carrier and a rope on the flap. Compression straps at the side and front cinch the load down, and the pack takes a hydration system.
How it carries
The carrying system is tailored to the female anatomy. The hip belt and shoulder straps are anatomically shaped and softly padded, the hip belt adjusts with a forward pull, and an elasticated chest strap keeps the fit snug and comfortable. The hip belt padding detaches when you want to go lighter.

The Trion Nordwand 28 Women comes in one size with a 43.5 cm (S) back length, and the back and shoulder straps are adapted for a women's fit.

Open the roll-top for the main compartment; reach the external zip pocket without unrolling anything.
