FAQ's

NYLON
Is it easy to clean?

Yes. You can simply wash the Nylon Pocket Trowel in very hot water (the melting point of the nylon is well above the boiling point of water).

Can this trowel be used in rocky ground or soil with a lot of roots?
Only to a limited extent. In really rocky areas, or in soil with extensive root systems, the hardened blade of Alloy Pocket Trowel makes it the better choice.

ALLOY
Can this trowel be used in rocky ground or soil with a lot of roots?

Absolutely. The shaft and hardened blade are made to the same specification as avalanche shovels, so the Alloy trowel will chop through rocky soils or roots with ease.

Is it worth the premium over a ‘garden center’ plastic trowel?
Definitely. Broken remains of plastic trowels are often discarded in the backcountry, which is the absolute antithesis of Leave No Trace. This won't be an issue with the Alloy Trowel.
