Description
Description
A pack strap tearing loose on day two, a split seam on your tent door, a popped button on your shirt: the Gear Aid Sewing Kit lets you stitch it up on the spot and keep going. Everything fits in a clear twist tube about the size of your thumb, 2.5 x 7.6 cm and 45 g, so it disappears into a lid pocket or repair bag.
What it fixes
- Torn seams and tears in tents, backpacks and sleeping bags
- Rips in jackets, pants, shirts and uniforms
- Missing buttons, replaced with tough coyote buttons
The large needles and heavy-duty nylon thread are made for durable fabrics: nylon, canvas, CORDURA, neoprene and vinyl. The coyote-coloured thread and buttons blend into most outdoor and tactical fabrics.
How to use it
Everything you need is in the tube:
- Two large needles (#16 and #18) for heavy fabric
- 4.6 m (5 yds) of coyote nylon thread
- Seam ripper
- Two straight pins
- Thimble
- Two safety pins
- Two #30 coyote buttons
