Description

XTM Performance Samurai is a men's snow glove with a 100% recycled polyester stretch shell, 260g Thinsulate insulation on the back of the hand, 160gsm on the palm, a stretch faux leather palm and an XtremeTex15+ breathable liner. It adds a heat pocket with a waterproof YKK zip, adjustable wrist strap, barrel lock cuff, goggle wiper and touch screen fingertips. About 216 g, sizes S to 2XL.

Who it's for

The Samurai is a do-everything resort glove for blokes who ride from first chair to last. A bluebird day at Perisher, a wet and windy one at Mt Buller, a week in Niseko when the snow does not stop. It has enough insulation for cold chairlifts, with a stretch faux leather full palm and durable wrapped fingers. Five colourways, from plain black to Vivid Orange you can spot across the car park.

Waterproofing and breathability

Inside is XTM's XtremeTex15+ breathable liner, rated 15,000mm waterproof and 15,000g/m2 breathable, so melting snow stays out and sweat from a hard run gets out. The shell fabric carries a PFAS-free durable water repellent finish, and the XtremeTex liner is windproof for exposed lifts.

Fit and layering

A regular fit, neither tight nor baggy. The barrel lock wrist gives a close fit, and the adjustable wrist strap snugs the glove around your hand. The wrist leash keeps the glove attached when you pull it off on the chairlift, and the soft goggle wiper is there for the unavoidable wet days on the slopes.
