Roll-Top Saddle Bikepacking Bag

The USWE Roll-Top Saddle Bag is a 9 L waterproof bikepacking seat pack in Diamond Ripstop 420D TPU with Hypalon reinforcement, weighing 380 g. It straps to your saddle rails and seat post, works with dropper posts, and an air valve in the roll-top lets you squeeze out trapped air so the load rides tight.

Who it's for

Gravel riders, mountain bikers and tourers heading out for a night or several with the gear strapped to the bike instead of their back. USWE built it for multi-day bikepacking: camping kit, tools and spare layers tucked behind the saddle, on washboard gravel and rough singletrack alike.

Fitting it to your bike

The upper straps wrap around your saddle rails and the lower strap cinches around the seat post. Snug them until the bag sits firm and clear of the rear wheel. It fits most saddle and seat post set-ups on gravel, mountain and touring bikes, and it works with a dropper post: mount it high enough that the post still has its full travel.

Capacity and what fits

A compact sleeping bag goes in easily, and most ultralight tents squeeze in too; a bulkier three-season tent is better split between a frame bag and a handlebar roll. The roll-top lets the bag shorten as you pack less, from about 48 cm long fully extended down to 38 cm rolled tight, with a height of 18.5 cm and a width of 14 cm.

Weatherproofing

The shell is Diamond Ripstop 420D TPU with reinforced Hypalon panels. Give the top three or more full rolls, buckle it, and the bag is fully waterproof, so a wet night and a creek crossing leave your sleeping bag dry.

Stability when loaded

A loose seat pack swings with every pedal stroke. Once the top is rolled and buckled, twist the air valve and press the trapped air out: the load compresses into a firm block that stays put instead of wagging behind you on rough descents.

Looking after it

After a muddy ride, wipe the outside down with a damp cloth and let the bag air dry before you put it away.
