Ride 24 Backpack

Arva Ride 24 is a 24-litre freeride backpack developed with Arva athlete Léo Slemett. A full back opening shows everything inside, a dedicated pocket holds shovel and probe, and a padded, removable waist belt keeps small items within reach. It carries skis diagonally or A-frame, a snowboard or two ice axes, and weighs 985 g.

Who it's for

Freeriders and off-piste skiers and snowboarders, from a short hike to a long day off-piste. Arva designed the Ride range with Léo Slemett for both pros and keen riders, built around one idea: the things you need on the hill should be within reach without taking the pack off.

Capacity, and what actually fits

Twenty-four litres covers a freeride day: shovel and probe in their own front pocket with sleeves, goggles in the very large top pocket, a spare layer, lunch and a hydration bladder in the main compartment, and a laptop in its own compartment. Your helmet rides on the integrated holder, which tucks into its own pocket.

How it carries

A thermoformed back panel sits against you, comfortable and water-resistant. The padded waist belt takes a good share of the load off your shoulders and back, and it unclips in seconds when you want the pack lighter and simpler. Skis go on diagonally or in an A-frame, the quick two-click A-frame suiting wide skis; Arva suggest a strap joining the tips so the tails spread. There are carry options for a snowboard and two ice axes too.

Fitting it

The Ride 24 has a 45 cm back size and measures 28 x 50 x 15 cm. An adjustable chest strap carries a loop for clipping on gloves, and the waist belt snugs the pack close for riding.

985 g empty for 24 litres. All the Ride range fabrics are recycled: 300D recycled polyester outside, 150D recycled polyester lining, and PFC free. We stock the Ride 24 because a pack that lets you reach your gear without taking it off keeps the day moving.
