Description

The Restrap Bar Pack is a 10 L handlebar bag with two roll-top compartments rated IP6K6, a rigid hard-shell back and a holster for a mini D-lock. It weighs 585 g and is hand made in Restrap's Yorkshire workshop from textured nylon.

Riders who want one bar bag for the whole week: the run to the shops, a long audax, a gravel day in the Gold Coast hinterland and an overnighter on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. The Bar Pack opens from the top while it stays on the bike, so your jacket, lunch and camera are a buckle away at every stop.

Fitting it to your bike

The Bar Pack clamps to the handlebar with spring-loaded cam locks over foam spacers, which hold the bag off the bar and leave room for your hands and cables. A MOLLE adjustable strap anchors the bottom of the bag to the headtube.

How far the bag reaches forward depends on how much you pack into it. We recommend protective tape on the headtube and bar where the straps sit, to keep grit from marking the finish.

Capacity and what fits

Ten litres split across two roll-top compartments. The main compartment takes a rain jacket, a warm layer and a day's food; the front compartment keeps your phone, wallet and tools apart from the rest. On top, an elastic drawcord grabs gloves or a jacket you have just pulled off. Between the two compartments sits a holster for a mini D-lock, and the front closure strap doubles as the lock's retaining strap.
