The USWE Race 2.0 is a 2 litre MTB race hydration pack built around USWE's no-dancing harness, which straps across the chest so the pack stays locked to your back over rough ground instead of bouncing.

Who it's for

Racers and fast riders who want water on their back and nothing else moving. This is deliberately minimal - 230 g, 2 litres of water, and not much room for anything you did not plan to bring. If you want to carry a jacket, tools, lunch and a spare tube, this is the wrong pack. If you want to go hard for two hours without something slapping you between the shoulder blades on every descent, it is exactly right.

Capacity, and what actually fits

2.0 litres in the included Elite bladder, in a body 32 cm long, 16 cm wide and 9 cm deep. Enough for a gel or two, a phone and a multi-tool alongside the bladder - deliberately not enough to tempt you into carrying more.

How it carries

The No Dancing Monkey 1.0 PRO harness is the reason to buy a USWE over anything else. Patented four-point suspension pulls the pack against your back rather than hanging it off your shoulders, and the result is genuinely no bounce - not reduced bounce. Fitting it

The harness is fixed rather than adjustable in torso length, which is part of how it stays this light. Adjust the four attachment points evenly so the load sits high and centred - it should feel clamped rather than slung.

FAQ's

Is your backpack compatible with a chest protector?
Usually there are no issues with using chest protectors however we do recommend measuring your chest while wearing the chest protector and comparing it to the size in the "specifications" tab on the product you're looking at.

Is your backpack compatible with a neck brace?
Our backpacks are compatible with most neck braces on the market today. However there may be neck braces out there that we are not aware of. This only applies to the standard harness and does not take accessories in mind.

What is the hydration systems made of?
Our bladders are made out of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and all of our hydration systems are BPA and PVC free and meet all FDA and EU regulations. Our Hydrapak Elite and Shape-Shift bladders have a No Leak Warranty through Hydrapak. Our recycable bladders are made out of PET/NY/PE and are super durable and leak proof.

Does it actually not bounce?
The No Dancing Monkey 1.0 PRO harness is built to stop it. Four-point suspension holds the pack against your back rather than hanging it from your shoulders.

Is the bladder included?
Yes, a 2.0 L Elite hydration bladder is included, so there is nothing further to buy before your first ride.

How much can I carry besides water?
Not much, by design. The body is 32 x 16 x 9 cm, so alongside the bladder you have room for a phone, a multi-tool and some food.

How heavy is it empty?
230 g excluding the bladder and sleeve, which makes it USWE's lightest pack.

Will my back get sweaty?
Less than most. The backplate is an ultralight mesh membrane rather than a solid panel, so air moves behind the pack while you ride.
