Phoenix II Gore-tex Ski Glove

The XTM Performance Phoenix II is a unisex GORE-TEX ski glove with a full goat skin leather palm and a shell of 90% recycled polyester and 10% spandex twill. A GORE-TEX waterproof breathable insert sits inside, with 265 g of Thinsulate on the back of the hand and 125 g in the palm. It has a zipped heat pocket, a wrist leash and touch screen compatible fingertips, in Black or Taupe.

Who it's for

Skiers and boarders who want one glove that does the whole day. The full leather palm adds dexterity, the GORE-TEX insert keeps your hands dry on a wet Thredbo spring afternoon, and the Thinsulate adds warmth on a cold chairlift at Mount Buller. The zipped heat pocket takes a heat pack for the coldest mornings, so the same glove covers a wide range of days.

Waterproofing and breathability

The Phoenix II is built around a GORE-TEX waterproof breathable insert between the shell and the lining. It keeps your hands dry, and because it is breathable, moisture can escape on a hard run.

Fit and layering

Unisex sizing, with an ergonomic velcro cuff. The fingers are wrapped for durability, and the full leather palm is there for increased dexterity. A wrist leash means you can pull a glove off on the lift without dropping it into the snow below.

Fabric and construction

The shell is a 90% recycled polyester and 10% spandex twill, with spandex for stretch. The palm is high performance goat skin leather, and the fingers are wrapped for durability. Insulation is 265 g Thinsulate soft fill over the back of the hand and 125 g in the palm. The Phoenix II is a certified carbon neutral product.

Looking after it

Dry the gloves slowly at room temperature with the cuffs open, never on a heater or in front of the fire, which stiffens leather. A leather conditioner every so often keeps the palm supple through a long season.
