Nemo Resolve Men’s 35L Endless Promise Technical Active Daypack

The big days need a bigger pack: the full Bluff Knoll circuit with lunch, layers and three litres of water, a summer traverse of the Main Range, or a light overnight to a hut on the Overland. The Nemo Resolve Men's 35L Endless Promise has the volume for it, a spring steel frame to carry it, and a back panel that does not cook you on the climb.

Who it's for

Walkers doing long day hikes who carry more than the bare minimum: a puffer for the summit, a full first-aid kit, a camera, a stove for a hot lunch. Configure it lean and it also handles a fast-and-light overnight with a quilt, a small tent split with a mate, and a bladder. For multi-day trips with food for a week, a 50 L-plus pack with a heavier hip belt is the right tool.

Capacity, and what actually fits

Nemo measure it at 37.5 L. For a day that is all your layers, food, water, a first-aid kit and a camera with room to spare. For an overnight, a compact sleeping bag, mat, cook kit and next day's food. Two removable compression straps move from the sides to the bottom of the pack, so you can cinch a half-full load tight or strap a foam mat underneath.

How it carries

A spring steel internal frame gives the pack shape and transfers heavier loads, while the wide, flexible shoulder straps wrap close to your chest. Against your back is CCubed cushioning, 97% air, which lets sweat wick and evaporate instead of soaking into foam. The geometry is built for moving, so the pack shifts with you on scrambles rather than swinging.

Fitting it

The men's Resolve 35L fits torso lengths of 43-53 cm. To measure, have someone run a tape from the bony bump at the base of your neck down your spine to the line between the tops of your hip bones. If you are under 43 cm, the women's Resolve 35L, at 38-48 cm, may suit you better whatever your gender.

Weight

1.31 kg empty for 37.5 L, in a pack measuring 64 x 32 x 23 cm. The CERO shell is recycled PET woven from solution-dyed fibres, with up to three times the tear strength of standard pack fabric. It is water-resistant rather than waterproof, so line it with a pack liner when the forecast turns.

Looking after it

Resolve is an Endless Promise pack: built from one type of material so it is fully recyclable, made to be repaired and kept going, and returnable to Nemo for recycling when it is done. Rinse off mud and dry it in the shade after a wet trip.
