Description
EVOC Hydraflex Tube is the replacement hose and mouthpiece for an EVOC hydration bladder: 91.4 cm of carbon grey thermoplastic polyurethane with the Plug-N-Play connector at one end and EVOC's Comet bite valve at the other. If your old tube has gone stiff, cloudy or tastes of last season's sports drink, this brings the whole drinking side of the bladder back to new without replacing the reservoir.
Who it's for
Mountain bikers, trail runners and riders on EVOC hydration packs and hip packs who want a fresh tube and valve in one go. It is also a smart spare to keep in the shed: a second tube lets one dry out properly while the other goes riding, which is the easiest way to stay ahead of mould on humid Gold Coast summer days.
Length and fit
- Length: 91.4 cm, long enough to run up a pack and over the shoulder strap to your mouth.
- Connector: Plug-N-Play, for EVOC bladders with the matching coupling. Press to connect, release to pull the hose free.
- Material: 100% thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, flexible and non-kinking.
- Weight: 40 g including the Comet bite valve.
- Free from: BPA and PVC.
Drinking and refilling
The Comet bite valve is EVOC's own high-flow design, built to move more water with each bite. Because the tube unclips at the bladder, you can pull the reservoir out to refill at a tap or water stop without threading the hose back through the pack every time.
Cleaning and mould
Unclip the tube after each ride, flush it with warm water and hang it with the valve end down so it drains completely. Pull the bite valve off now and then to rinse the joint. A tube that is put away wet is what grows mould, so let it dry fully before it goes back in the pack.
