The Evoc Hydration Bladder 2 Insulated is the reservoir for cold days: two litres of water and an insulated hose, for drinking on even the coldest day in the snow. It weighs 130 g, is easy to fill with its Slide Seal closure, and takes water from cold to 60 °C.
Who it's for
Backcountry skiers and splitboarders touring in the Snowy Mountains or on Mount Hotham, winter mountain bikers on frosty Tasmanian trails, and anyone hiking through an alpine winter. Use it as a spare or as an upgrade for the colder months.
Capacity and fit
The bladder holds 2 litres and measures 17 x 33 x 1 cm. The body is 100% thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, BPA and PVC free.
Drinking and refilling
The insulated hose is the point of this one. EVOC made it for cold temperatures, so you can keep drinking on even the coldest day in the snow. The Slide Seal closure makes it easy to fill straight from the tap or a thermos, and it is leak-proof once closed. On a sub-zero morning you can fill it with warm water, up to 60 °C.
Cleaning and mould
Every part is easy to clean. Rinse it after use and let the bladder and hose dry fully before you store them, to help keep it fresh from one season to the next.
