HV Drive, Medium - Black

The Lezyne HV Drive Medium is a high-volume hand pump in satin black, built around a CNC-machined aluminium barrel and piston with an overlapping Composite Matrix handle. At 240 mm and 106 g it is the longer HV Drive, and the extra barrel length is there to move more air with every stroke.

Who it's for

Riders on wide mountain bike and gravel tyres who would rather carry a slightly longer pump and finish the job in fewer strokes. If you ride big tyres through the Toolangi forest or the gravel south of Beaudesert, and the pump lives on the frame rather than in a pocket, the Medium is the size we would point you to.

Pressure and volume

A high-volume pump trades top-end pressure for air per stroke, which is the right trade for a wide trail tyre run soft for grip. The HV Drive is rated to 90 psi (6.2 bar), comfortably past where mountain bike and gravel tyres are run, so the limit you meet on the trail is your arms, not the pump.

Valve compatibility

The ABS Flex Hose stores in the handle and has a Presta end and a Schrader end. Thread the right end onto your valve, the other onto the pump, and inflate. On Presta, the ABS button bleeds pressure out of the hose so it unthreads without tugging on the valve core; on Schrader, the same button lets you take a little air out to set the pressure.

Looking after it

Put the hose back in the handle after each use so dirt stays off the threads, and give the barrel a wipe after wet rides. The Composite Matrix frame mount supplied with the pump holds it on the bike, clear of your jersey pockets.
