The BioLite HeadLamp 200 is a 50 g USB-rechargeable head torch that puts out up to 200 lumens. Its 700 mAh battery is built into the light, with no rear pack or wires, and four modes cover white spot and red flood, both dimmable, plus white and red strobe. It runs 40 hours on low or 3 on high and is rated IPX4.

Brightness and runtime together

Full power is 200 lumens on the white spot, good for 3 hours. Dim it right down and the same charge lasts up to 40 hours. Both the white spot and the red flood dim, so you can set exactly as much light as the moment needs and stretch the battery between charges.

Beam shape

White spot throws a focused beam ahead of you; red flood spreads a soft red light close in. Each has a strobe mode too. The front bezel tilts all the way down, so you can aim the light down at your feet or your hands.

Weather resistance
