Frontier Ultralight Two Pot Cook Set

The Sea to Summit Frontier Ultralight Two Pot Cook Set is a nesting camp cook set: a 2 L pot and a 3 L pot in hard-anodised aluminium with a ceramic non-stick coating, with Passage bowls and either cups or cutlery packed inside. Everything locks into the 3 L pot and travels as one item.

Who it's for

Groups who cook real meals and carry them in. Two pots means rice in one and curry in the other, or dinner on the stove while the water for tea waits its turn. Pick the set by head count:

Capacity and what it cooks

The 3 L pot is the one-pot dinner for four: pasta, a big stew, or enough boiling water to fill everyone's dehydrated meal and the washing-up bowl. The 2 L pot handles the sauce, the porridge or the second course. Strainer holes in each lid let you drain pasta without losing it into the bush, and graduations inside the pot save you guessing the water.

Materials and heat

Hard-anodised aluminium spreads heat fast and evenly across the base, so a small hiking stove boils quickly and the middle of the pot does not scorch while the edges sit cool. The ceramic non-stick coating is PTFE-free and the whole set is BPA-free, so scrambled eggs slide out and the clean-up is a wipe. Keep both pots on a stove: they are not made for open fires.

The Passage bowls, cups and cutlery are glass-reinforced polypropylene, food-grade, with ribbed CoolGrip sidewalls so you can hold a bowl of soup straight off the boil.

Packing and nesting

Both sets pack to 19.6 x 18.5 x 13.5 cm. The 2 L pot sits inside the 3 L, the tableware stacks inside that, both lids go on top and the handle flips over to clamp the lot shut. Nothing rattles, and nothing goes missing between the boot and the campsite.

Handles and safety

Each pot has a removable stainless steel Click Safe handle. It locks on with a click you can hear, which is what you want when you are lifting three litres of boiling water off a stove at knee height. The silicone LidKeep clips the lid to the rim of the pot while you stir, so it never ends up face down in the dirt.

Cleaning

Wash the pots and lids by hand: dishwasher detergent attacks the anodised finish. The Passage bowls, cups and cutlery are dishwasher safe and microwavable, so they do double duty at home between trips.
