Frontier UL Spork - Short Handle

The Sea to Summit Frontier UL Spork - Short Handle is a single piece of camp cutlery: a hard-anodised aluminium spork, 13 cm long and 7.7 g. It is short enough to fit inside the Frontier UL collapsible solo pot, so it packs away with your cook kit.

Who it's for

Solo walkers and ultralight hikers who cook and eat from one pot, thru-hikers counting every gram on the Bibbulmun Track, bikepackers short on bag space, and travellers who want a proper spoon in a day bag. If you eat freeze-dried meals straight from a deep pouch, a long-handled spork reaches the bottom more easily.

Materials and heat

• Hard-anodised aluminium, with a handle cross-section shaped for strength
• 7.7 g and 3.9 x 1.6 x 13 cm
• Bowl shape follows the curve of Sea to Summit dinnerware for easy clean-up

Boiling water will not hurt it, so stir away in the pot, though the handle may become uncomfortable to hold.

Packing and nesting

At 13 cm the Frontier UL Short Handle Spork packs inside the Frontier UL collapsible 1 L pot, and it is the spork that comes in Sea to Summit's Frontier UL Collapsible One Pot Cook Set. The slot in the end of the handle can take a cord if you want to tie it to your kit.

Cleaning

Wash it by hand. The caustic cleaner in dishwasher detergent damages the anodised finish; at camp, hot water and a quick wipe do the job.
