Frontier UL Collapsible Kettle Cook Set (3 Piece)
Description
Description
The Sea to Summit Frontier UL Collapsible Kettle Cook Set is morning coffee for two that folds down to the thickness of a paperback: a 1.1 L kettle with a hard-anodised aluminium base and silicone walls, and two collapsible cups that nest inside it. The set weighs 307.4 g and packs to 15 x 15 x 4.3 cm.
Who it's for
Two people sharing one stove who want a proper hot drink without a bulky pot. A frosty dawn in the Snowy Mountains, a brew stop on a paddle down the Glenelg, a cuppa at the tent door after a long day on the Bibbulmun: put the kettle on, pour two cups, pack it flat. Solo walkers get a spare cup for soup. We stock it because a kettle and two cups that fold flat earn their place in any pack.
Capacity and what it cooks
The kettle holds 1.1 L, enough to fill both cups and have water left over for a dehydrated meal. Its wide rim means it doubles as a small cooking pot for two-minute noodles, a packet soup or porridge, so for short trips it can be the only pot you carry.
Materials and heat
The base and lid are hard-anodised aluminium, which spreads the stove's heat evenly and avoids hot spots. The collapsible walls and the cups are EU food-grade silicone, and two glass-reinforced nylon handles fold up over the top so you can pour steadily without a pot grabber. The lid has a silicone grip you can lift without burning your fingers, and a silicone LidKeep that hooks the lid onto the rim while the water heats. Everything is BPA-free and non-PFAS.
Use it on a gas canister stove or a two-burner camp stove. On a two-burner, keep the flame inside the printed ring on the kettle's base and stand the handles upright. The kettle does not work on induction cooktops.
Packing and nesting
Push the kettle's silicone walls down and it collapses flat; fold each cup and they stack inside. The finished bundle is 15 x 15 x 4.3 cm, slim enough to slip down the back panel of a pack or into the lid pocket.
Cleaning
Wash the kettle by hand: dishwasher detergent damages the anodised base and lid. Let everything dry open before you collapse it for storage.
