Description
Description
The Deuter Waldfuchs 10 is a little fox-faced backpack built tough enough for kids who spend the day outside in the mud. It was developed with the Bavarian Association of Forest Schools, and it is just as at home at bush kindy or on a family walk in Lamington National Park.
Who it's for
Kids from about kindy age who play and learn outdoors, roughly 98-130 cm tall. Deuter rate it five out of five for kindergarten. The 1-3 kg recommended load is lunch, a water bottle, a spare set of clothes and a raincoat.
Capacity, and what actually fits
10 litres in a 35 x 21 x 14 cm pack takes a lunchbox, a spare set of clothes and a jacket, with a drink bottle in each stretch side pocket. A separate compartment keeps muddy or wet clothes away from the rest, and the zipped front pocket holds small treasures.
How it carries
Shaped back padding with air gaps between the pads spreads the weight and keeps it close to the body, and padded shoulder straps with a two-way chest strap stop the pack sliding around when they run.
Fitting it
Made for back lengths of 24-30 cm, which Deuter match to children around 98-130 cm tall.
