Pack Sack 18

The Deuter Pack Sack 18 is a light, round drawcord sack that turns a jumble of gear into one bag you can lift out. It is sized for a camp kitchen, so the pot, stove and mugs all live together and the soot stays off your sleeping bag.

What it is

An 18 litre drawcord stuff sack, 26 x 30 x 30 cm, weighing 35 g, with a cord stopper, two hang loops and a grab handle on the base.

Who it's for

Bikepackers first: Deuter rate it five out of five for bikepacking and four for road and gravel. It also suits hikers and car-free campers who want their cookset in one place, whether that is a night on the Bicentennial National Trail or a weekend at a Lamington campground.

Key details

• Fits camp pots up to 28 cm in diameter
• 18 L, 26 x 30 x 30 cm, 35 g
• Drawcord with stopper
• Two sturdy hang loops and a handle on the base
• Dirt-resistant fabric

Use the base handle to tip it out, and the hang loops to string it from a tree or a hook in the tent while you cook. Beyond the kitchen, it holds a puffy and camp clothes, or a set of bike spares.

Looking after it

The Pack Sack 18 is made without intentionally added PFAS.
