Camelbak Chase Adventure 8 Hydration Vest

The CamelBak Chase Adventure 8 is a hydration vest for big days on the mountain bike, the ride where you carry everything because there is no bail-out. It holds a Crux 2 L reservoir, keeps tools like a CO2 cartridge right where you can find them, and keeps a pump fastened over rough ground, all for 400 g.

Capacity, and what actually fits

The Crux reservoir carries two litres. Around it, the vest has integrated tool organisation, an elastic pump loop and a Command Center harness for phone and keys. The stretch overflow pocket lets you quickly stash or shed a layer, such as a wind jacket you peel off at the top of the climb.

How it carries

The harness is breathable 3D grid mesh, built for all-day comfort, and the vest sits above your jersey pockets, so you can still use them. Dual adjustable sternum straps give a range of adjustment for a custom fit and a stable, bounce-free carry. Reflective details help you be seen on a dark finish.

Fitting it

Put the vest on loaded, then work through the two sternum straps until it feels locked in. It should sit still when you stand on the pedals and still let you breathe hard on a climb. The vest is Impact Protection Ready, so it accepts CamelBak's Impact Protector panel if you choose to add one.

Access and organisation

The Command Center harness gives easy, secure access to your phone, keys and other essentials. Integrated tool organisation keeps CO2 cartridges, a patch kit and more right where you can find them, and an elastic pump loop keeps the pump securely fastened, even on rough terrain.

Weight

400 g, made from lightweight 420D recycled nylon that is rugged enough for big days in the mountains yet breathable on a long ride. The vest measures 41 x 25 x 11 cm.
