Aura Womens Softshell Jacket

XTM Aura Womens Softshell Jacket is the jacket that goes on at the trailhead and stays on until you are back at the car. It is a women's softshell in bonded 4-way stretch fabric with a PFAS-free DWR finish and an 8,000 / 8,000 waterproof and breathability rating, a YKK Vision front zip, zipped lower pockets, chest pockets and an adjustable hem. Black, in women's sizes 8 to 18.

Who it's for

Women who want one tidy outer layer for cool, breezy days: a winter walk along the Great Ocean Road, a frosty morning at the ski village, a weekend of school sport in the drizzle. Four-way stretch means it moves with you when you scramble up a step or reach for a pole. XTM rate it 2 of 4 for warmth and 2 of 4 for breathability on their own scale.

Waterproofing and breathability

The fabric carries an 8,000 waterproof and 8,000 breathable rating, and the fabric has a PFAS-free DWR coating. XTM give it 1 of 4 on their waterproofing scale, so think of the Aura as your go-to for drizzle and dry cold, with a proper rain shell in the pack for a day of steady rain.

Fit and layering

A regular fit: not slim, not relaxed, with ease added for movement. The back length is 65.5 cm on a size 10, and XTM's model is 175 cm tall and wears a size 10. The hem adjuster and cord locks let you cinch the hem in on a cold breeze.

Fabric and construction

The shell is a bonded softshell with 4-way stretch, finished with a PFAS-free DWR. Logos are silicone printed. The Aura is a certified carbon neutral product.

Care

Hand wash only, in cold water, with no fabric softener or bleach. Do not wring it, and dry it flat. Skip the tumble dryer, the iron and the dry cleaner.
