9.5 Crag We Care Classic

The Mammut 9.5 Crag We Care Classic Rope is a 9.5 mm single rope whose sheath is made from 100% residual yarn: yarn left over from changes between colours in Mammut's rope production. Yarn that used to be thrown away becomes a rope that meets Mammut's quality standards, and every rope is a one-off with its own pattern. We stock it in 50, 60, 70 and 80 m.

Who it's for

Sport and gym climbers who would like their rope to waste a little less. Mammut scores it six out of six for sport climbing, and as an untreated Classic rope it is built for indoor walls and rock on fine days. It suits a first rope of your own as much as a dedicated gym rope, from the lead wall to a weekend at Kangaroo Point or the Grampians.

At 9.5 mm the We Care Classic is certified as a single rope, the one strand you need for lead and top-rope. Mammut makes it for sport and classic climbing.

Dry treatment

The We Care Classic is untreated and PFC-free, in keeping with Mammut's Classic range: a straightforward rope for the gym and rock climbing in good weather.

Fall rating

The 9.5 Crag We Care Classic Rope holds 6 UIAA falls with an 80 kg mass as a single rope, and conforms to EN 892:2012 + A3:2023.

Length and weight

Every length weighs 58 g per metre, with an abrasion-resistant centre mark to find the middle. Because each sheath is made from residual yarn and every rope is a one-off, the colours of the rope you receive will differ from the photos, and from every other We Care rope.
