Description

USWE Chest Pocket NDM 1 is an add-on pocket for the NDM 1 chest harness on USWE hydration packs. It mounts on the front of the harness, so a soft flask, a gel or a phone rides on your chest instead of in the pack behind you. Grab a drink on a fire-road climb or a rocky trail descent without unclipping anything, then drop it back in. The black pocket has mesh side panels to let water drain and a drawcord top with a toggle to hold the load in.

Who it's for

Mountain bikers, gravel riders, trail runners, fastpackers and adventure racers already running a USWE pack with the NDM 1 harness. If you ride or run with a bladder and want a second drink on the go, an electrolyte mix in a flask beside plain water in the bladder, or simply want your phone out of the pack for photos, this is the pocket for it. Fit one or a pair, one on each side of the chest, as in the photos.

Compatibility and fit

  • Fits: USWE MOTO Hydro, MTB Hydro, Airborne, Ranger, Vertical, Patriot and Outlander packs.
  • Does not fit: the Outlander PRO or the Race 2.0.
  • Harness: made for USWE's NDM 1 harness. The NDM 2 harness has its own chest pocket.

Drinking and refilling

A soft flask with a straw-style bite valve sits upright in the pocket with the valve poking out the top, close enough to your mouth to drink from without using your hands. Loosen the drawcord, pull the flask, refill at the next tap or aid station, and slide it back in.

Looking after it

Rinse the pocket in fresh water after muddy or salty days and let it dry in the shade. Empty and rinse any soft flask you carry in it so it never sits damp and sweet in the pocket.
