Firstly, the Tensor All-Season has a better R-value, which is 5.4 and the original Tensor has a R-value of 2.8. The second key difference is the weight. For the regular-sized Tensor All-Season, the packed weight sits at 522g, whereas the regular-sized original Tensor has a packed weight of 477g.

Yes, the inflation and deflation process of the Nemo Tensor All-Season is very quiet. It is one of the main features of the product and set-up is also a quick and easy process. Setting up your sleeping pad certainly wouldn’t disturb anyone else you were camping with. To inflate your Tensor All-Season, simply remove the cap of the valve by pulling the “INFLATE” tab. You can blow the sleeping pad up yourself, use your own air inflator, or use the Vortex Pump Sack provided. If you don’t have the right amount of air in the sleeping pad, you can press the inner valve to release air and obtain your ideal inflation level. After you’re happy with the level of air, place the cap back on the sleeping pad. The process of deflating is also quiet.

How much time does it take to inflate a Nemo Tensor All-Season?
The amount of time it takes to inflate your Nemo Tensor All-Season sleeping pad will likely depend if you opt to use your own air pump, the Vortex Pump Sack provided, or blow up the mat yourself. Using the provided air pump makes this a lot easier for you and it only takes a minute or two until you have a fully inflated sleeping pad. It is also fairly easy to blow up the Tensor All-Season yourself if you don’t have another option. The process can be slightly more time-consuming and may leave you a little out of breath! When blowing up your sleeping pad yourself, it can take five minutes or more.

How do you inflate a Nemo Tensor sleeping pad?
Use the Vortex pump sack it comes with: catch air in the sack, seal it and roll it into the valve. Two or three sacks fill the pad in about a minute without putting moist breath inside it.
