Sport Drive HV Hand Pump - Black

The Lezyne Sport Drive HV is a compact high-volume hand pump in satin black, with a machined aluminium barrel and piston inside a Composite Matrix handle and end caps. It is 190 mm long and weighs 96 g, and it rides on the frame in its own mount so it is there when a tyre goes soft.

Who it's for

Mountain bikers and gravel riders running wide tyres at trail pressures who want a straightforward, light pump on the bike. Pinch a tube on the rocks at Mount Joyce or pick up a slow leak on a gravel loop out past Canungra, and the Sport Drive HV gets you rolling again without hunting for a pump in someone else's pack.

Pressure and volume

The Sport Drive HV is a high-volume pump with an overlapping handle, so each stroke pushes a generous amount of air into a big, low-pressure tyre. It is rated to 90 psi (6.2 bar), well above the pressures mountain bike and gravel tyres are run at, while the volume-first design keeps the stroke count down on the way there.

Valve compatibility

The Flex Hose lives inside the pump handle. Unscrew it, pick the Presta or Schrader end to suit your valve, thread the other end onto the pump, then thread the hose onto the opened valve and start pumping. That covers the Presta valves on tubeless and road wheels as well as the Schrader valves still found on many kids' and commuter bikes, and a threaded hose means you are not levering on the valve stem while you pump.

Looking after it

Keep the hose clean and dry when it is stowed, and wipe the barrel down after muddy rides so grit stays out of the piston. The Composite Matrix frame mount supplied with the pump keeps it off your back and out of your jersey.
