R2 Retractor Combo Cable 90cm x 2.4mm (9US)

The Kryptonite R2 Retractor Combo Cable is a little lock for the things your main lock does not cover. A 90 cm vinyl-coated steel cable winds out of a palm-sized body and snaps back in at the press of a button, and four combination dials lock it without a key. It weighs 0.18 kg, so it lives in a jersey pocket or a bar bag and comes out whenever you stop.

Who it's for

Riders who already lock the frame and want the extras covered too. Loop the R2 through your helmet straps and around the bars while you duck into the bakery, through a quick-release front wheel or seat post, or through the handles of a pannier or a bag left on the rack. Pair it with a U-lock or chain on the frame and it takes care of the pieces that are easiest to lift. It is the lock that rides along on every trip because it takes up no room at all.

To set your own combination, dial in the current number, press the cable button so the cable is fully wound in, then push the small reset button on the side with a pen while pressing the cable head down into the body until it stops. Turn the dials to your new number, then press the cable button and pull the cable out a little to lock it in. Retract the cable and it is ready to go.
