Terra Weekend HE Cook Set 0.95L (without BOB)
Description
Description
The Optimus Terra Weekend HE Cook Set is a two-piece camp cooking set in hard-anodised aluminium with a non-stick coating: a 0.95 L pot with a heat exchanger (HE) base and a pour spout, and a fry pan that sits on top as its lid. It packs to 124 x 165 mm in its mesh bag, with a gas cartridge and an Optimus Crux or Crux Lite stove stored inside. This listing is the set without Optimus's BOB sponge.
Who it's for
Solo walkers and couples on weekend trips who want to do more than boil water: fry up breakfast, stir a risotto, then boil for a brew, all from one compact kit. It is a natural match for a canister stove on overnight walks in the Budawangs or the Tasmanian Wilderness.
Boil time and fuel use
The heat exchanger is the finned base of the pot. Optimus say it reduces the time to boil, making your stove more efficient and saving fuel when cooking, so each gas cartridge goes further.
What's in the set
- 0.95 L pot with heat exchanger base, pour spout and folding handles
- Fry pan that doubles as the pot lid, with its own folding handle
- Non-stick coating on hard-anodised aluminium, on both pieces
- Mesh carry bag
Stability and packed size
Fold the handles, drop a gas cartridge and a Crux or Crux Lite stove into the pot, put the fry pan on as a lid and the set packs into a 124 x 165 mm cylinder. There is also room in the mesh bag for an Optimus titanium cutlery set, so the whole kitchen travels as one piece.
Looking after it
Use wooden or plastic utensils and a soft sponge to look after the non-stick coating, keep the flame centred under the base, and let both pieces dry before they go back in the bag.
