Description

The Lezyne Macro Drive 1400+ is a front bike light that puts out up to 1400 lumens through Tri-Focus Optics, in a CNC-machined aluminium body that weighs 230 g. It has seven output modes, charges by USB-C, straps to the handlebar and is tested to IPX7.

Who it's for

Riders who finish in the dark and want one light that covers the lot: the gravel loop that runs past sunset, a night lap on local singletrack, the winter commute home along an unlit bike path. 1400 lumens shows you the fire road well ahead at speed, and the lower modes stretch the same charge across a full weekend of bikepacking.

Brightness and runtime together

Seven modes, each with its own runtime from a full charge:

  • Overdrive - 1400 lumens for 3 hours
  • Blast - 950 lumens for 4 hours
  • Enduro - 450 lumens for 12 hours 30 minutes
  • Economy - 200 lumens for 25 hours
  • Day Flash - 700 lumens for 100 hours
  • Pulse - 100 lumens for 14 hours
  • Femto - 20 lumens for 300 hours

Three hours at full power covers most night rides start to finish. Drop to Enduro and 450 lumens carries you through a whole night on the bike. Race Mode trims the choice to Overdrive and Enduro, so you switch between full power for the descent and a long-burn beam for the climb.

Beam shape

Tri-Focus Optics throw a brighter centre spot inside a large wide-angle pattern. You get reach down the trail or road, plus enough spread to pick up the edge of the track and the corner you are about to turn into.

Charging and battery

The Macro Drive 1400+ charges through a waterproof USB-C port with 2 A fast charging. Pack your own USB-C cable, as the light comes without one. For longer nights it works with Lezyne's Infinite Light Power Pack+, an external battery that extends the runtime in every mode.

Mounting

A replaceable strap holds the light on top of the handlebar and stretches to suit a range of bar sizes, so it moves between bikes in seconds. An optional GoPro-style adapter lets you hang it under an out-front computer mount to clear space on the bar.

Weather resistance

The Macro Drive 1400+ is tested to IPX7. The CNC-machined aluminium body carries cooling fins that shed heat from the LEDs while you ride.
